Professional training

Drawing from contemporary transpersonal psychology perspectives of the West and spiritual teaching traditions of the East (Buddhism, Taoism, Tantra), the Transpersonal Therapist Training employs a synthesis of techniques that are simple, powerful and effective catalysts for self-realisation.

The training addresses the human being at all levels of their existence – physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual – and assists in the development of presence, awareness and wholeness in each of these vital aspects of being. We embrace the vision of the individual as innately intelligent, resourceful, intuitive and spiritual and our training is a clear reflection of this conviction.

The application of our method develops the indispensable inner resources needed for understanding, accepting, transforming and transcending the paradoxes and possibilities of being human.

Through the perennial existential themes we explore during the training, you will unravel the mystery of how and why you function as you do, and you will develop the qualities most essential to your spiritual unfolding :
  • Vitality : the primal energy essential for all dynamic action
  • Power : to be and show who you are
  • Integrity : the nectar of your soul, vital ingredient for authenticity and soul melting
  • Rightfulness : clarity and coherence in your perception, words and acts
  • Surrender : to accept what is and to be in communion with your spiritual calling

Theoretical and experiential understanding of humanistic and transpersonal psychology and their application in a therapeutic context enables participants to acquire the working skills needed to accompany others as a professional transpersonal therapist.

These methods, each respecting the intrinsic integrity of the human being, are utilized in relationship to each other in such a way that the whole person (body, mind, soul, spirit) is free to develop at their own unique rhythm.

The Transpersonal Therapist Training fulfils the training criteria of the International Breathwork Training Alliance, an association of professional Breathwork trainers created to establish international accreditation standards for transpersonal breathwork therapy.

The training structure

The first phase of the programme is oriented towards the direct experience of the power of expanded states of consciousness as healing catalysts.
During the second phase of the training, the relationship therapist/client is treated in depth. Students learn specific approaches relevant to therapeutic accompaniment and gain theoretical and practical understanding into the therapist/client dynamic. The notion of the individual session is elaborated step-by-step.
The final phase of the training is consecrated to specialization and supervision. In this phase, students focus on the acquisition of specialized life-skills and more advanced therapeutic techniques, a working understanding of group dynamics, and the installation of their professional therapists practice.

The training is taught over a five-year period (102 days total).
At the successful completion of the first three years (60 days) of training, the diploma Transpersonal Therapist is awarded.
Those students choosing to undertake a further two years (42 days) of advanced studies receive the additional diploma, Group Facilitator after successfully fulfilling all the course requirements.
