Transpersonal Therapist Training

The Transpersonal Therapist Training is specially designed for persons wishing to develop professional transpersonal therapist skills.

Drawing from spiritual teaching traditions of the East (Buddhism, Taoism, Tantra) & contemporary transpersonal psychology perspectives of the West, the Transpersonal Therapist Training employs a synthesis of techniques that are simple, powerful and effective catalysts for self realisation, including:

-
Intuitive perception & healing - (Judee Gee)
-
Spiritual psychotherapy & conscious relating - (Eirik Balavoine)
-
Body-mind bodywork - (Judee Gee & Eirik Balavoine)
-
Meditation & Yoga - (Buddhist, Taoits, Tantric, Hatha)
-
Transpersonal psychology - (Abraham Maslow, Stanislas Grof, Ken Wilber)
-
Breathwork - (Tantric approach)
-
Non-directive communication - (Carl R. Rogers)
-
Voice Dialogue - (Hal & Sidra Stone)
-
Gestalt approach - (Fritz Perls)

These methods, each respecting the intrinsic integrity of the human being, are utilized in relationship to each other in such a way that the whole person (body, mind, soul, spirit) feels free to develop at their own unique rhythm.

Theoretical and experiential understanding of humanistic and transpersonal psychology and their application in a therapeutic context enables participants to acquire the working skills needed to accompany others as a professional transpersonal therapist.

The training team

This training is the fruit of collaboration between Judee Gee and Eirik Balavoine, who have been working as transpersonal psychotherapists in Europe, the USA and Australia since the early 1980's. They are assisted by a team of facilitator accredited in their method.

The Transpersonal Therapist Training fulfils the training criteria of the International Breathwork Training Alliance, an association of professional Breathwork trainers created to establish international accreditation standards for transpersonal breathwork therapy.

Who is this training for?

This training is addressed to all individuals wishing to deepen their understanding and experience of the role of expanded states of consciousness as healing and transformational catalyst in themselves and others.
The training can be undertaken as a purely personal endeavour for self-development, or as a professional therapist training leading to certification.

The Training Structure

The training is both theoretical and practical in nature, with a strong emphasis on learning through “hands-on” experience (approx. 25% of the course is theory based, 75% practise based).

The first phase of the programme is oriented towards direct experience of the power of expanded states of consciousnessas healing catalysts.

During the second phase of the training, the relationship therapist/client is treated in depth. Students learn specific approaches relevant to therapeutic accompaniment and gain theoretical and practical understanding into the therapist/client dynamic. The notion of “the individual session” is elaborated step-by-step.

The final phase of the training is consecrated to specialization and supervision. In this phase, students focus on the acquisition of specialized life-skills and more advanced therapeutic techniques, a working understanding of group dynamics, and the installation of their professional therapists practice.

The training is taught over a five-year period (96 days total).

At the successful completion of the first three years (60 days) of training, the diploma “Transpersonal Therapist” is awarded.

Those students choosing to undertake a further two years (34 days) of advanced studies receive the additional diploma, “Group Facilitator”.

First year - 20 days
Second year - 20 days
Third year - 20 days
Fourth year - 17 days
Fifth year - 17 days

Seminars are taught in three residential (6 to 7 days) modules spaced throughout the school year.

The Transpersonal Therapist Training (66 days)
and Group Facilitator Training (34 days)
are aligned in structure and practice with the recommendations of the International Breathwork Training Alliance,
an international body of trainers collaborating towards the accreditation of transpersonal breath therapy world-wide
